Product Description

Cast Iron Cubes

Having been incorporated in the year 1960, we have emerged as one of the renowned manufacturers, suppliers and exporters of an extensive range of Cast Iron Cubes. Made using high grade ferrous materials, our cubes are handy for leveling the horizontal surface. Further, these are useful in precision measurement of height blocks in machinery applications. Cast Iron Cubes, we offer are high in demand among the clients for the below mentioned attributes:

  • Accurate readout
  • Rugged construction
  • Resistance against corrosion
  • Portability

Other details:

We provide our clients with quality cast iron cubes that are manufactured using qualitative closed grain cast iron selected strictly as per IS 210:1993. The material procured for designing these cubes confirms to Grade FG-220. Our range of cast iron cubes are used as precision height blocks in standard room, machine shops for setting up machining operations with the help of height gauges as riser blocks to accomplish marking and inspection purposes. These are supplied with calibration certificate traceable to National Physical Laboratory (NPL, Govt. of India) New Delhi. We provide matched pairs on extra cost that are used as parallel and height blocks.

Some of its salient features are:

  • Castings are stress relieved either by natural ageing or by artificial seasoning
  • The cast iron cubes are hand scrapped for surface finish of Grade-1 accuracy
  • Widely used with all the six working faces of the cast iron cubes that are Flat, Parallel and Perpendicular to each other

Durable Construction for Precision Tasks

Our cast iron cubes are crafted from quality ductile and cast iron materials, ensuring strength and longevity in demanding environments. The polished finish not only enhances durability but also resists corrosion, making them a reliable choice for continuous use in engineering applications.

Versatile Applications Across Industries

These cubes are indispensable tools for various settings including workshops, calibration rooms, and assembly operations. Their variable weights and exceptional load capacity make them suitable for supporting heavy components and precise positioning during fabrication or inspection activities.

FAQs of Cast Iron Cubes:

Q: How are these cast iron cubes manufactured?

A: These cubes are produced through the sand casting process, which ensures high strength and a polished finish for enhanced durability and performance.

Q: What is the typical use of cast iron cubes in engineering workshops?

A: Cast iron cubes are primarily used for supporting, positioning, and aligning heavy machinery or components during assembly, calibration, and inspection procedures.

Q: When should I use ductile iron versus standard cast iron cubes?

A: Ductile iron cubes are preferred when higher tensile strength and toughness are required, while standard cast iron cubes are suitable for general support and stability tasks.

Q: Where can these cubes be utilized apart from workshops?

A: Beyond engineering workshops, these cubes are employed in calibration labs, inspection rooms, assembly lines, and fabrication areas for accurate measurement, alignment, and support.

Q: What are the main benefits of using polished cast iron cubes?

A: The polished surface provides corrosion resistance and smoothness, ensuring reliable performance, ease of maintenance, and precise support for heavy loads.

Q: How does the variable weight of these cubes enhance their functionality?

A: The availability in different weights, ranging from 2 kg to 25 kg, allows users to select cubes that best fit their specific application requirements and load capacities.
